School Giving
At Friendship, there are many ways to support our school and give back to the community. Whether it be bake sales, Box Tops, or canned food drives, the possibilities are only limited by the level of effort we put into them.
Fundraisers
Friendship has many fundraisers throughout the year. While some only happen every once in a while, many take place on an annual and even a monthly basis. These regular fundraisers are listed below.
Give Aloha – For the entire month of September, Foodland hosts a community matching gifts program. A portion of any donation that is made with a Maka’i card up to $249 will be matched by Foodland and the Wetsern Union. This is a great opportunity as all the funds will go toward the building fund for the church and the school’s new building.
Craft & Bake Sale – With tables filled with creative handmade items made with love, gift baskets with exciting contents, often a silent auction, and delicious treats to satisfy even the sweetest tooth, the FCS Craft & Bake Sale is not something you’ll want to miss! There are so many opportunities with this event just waiting to be taken. From helping Nadya Fitz-Henry by volunteering either time or talents to being a willing customer at the craft and treat tables, there is enough fun to keep everyone excited and busy! Be on the lookout for the newsletter announcing when it will be! All proceeds go towards the building fund.
Chuck E. Cheese Fundraiser – Come enjoy a fun family night and support Friendship at the same time! It all starts with a school visit from Chuck E. Cheese himself to announce the fundraiser. Then, on the night of the Chuck E. Cheese fundraiser, 15% of all sales (food, merchandise, and any tokens purchased at the register) will be given to the school. It’s as easy as going, having fun, and letting them know at the register you are from Friendship whenever you make a purchase!
Kona Ice Truck – Get ready for a deliciously sweet frozen treat, because once a month the Kona Ice Truck comes around for our elementary students to enjoy (and the cherry on top is 25% of all proceeds go towards the school!) Be on the lookout each month for a flyer announcing the monthly visit of the Kona Ice Truck!
Fall Fundraiser – It could be anything from selling delicious Regal Foods Bakery items to School Kine Cookies, but one thing is certain – it is the only fundraiser for the fall semester! The date and details will be announced in the newsletter.
